This free community workshop is presented as part of Dia Soto’s My Creative Journey / Mi Viaje Creativo residency with San Diego Made. Led by a community-based therapist, the conversation-centered workshop will explore how creativity can support healing, resilience, and mental health, with a focus on local experiences of stress, trauma, personal growth, and emotional well-being.
Taking place during World Mental Health Month, the workshop creates an accessible, welcoming space for community members to reflect, connect, and explore creativity as a tool for caring for their mental and emotional health. Participants will also take part in a hands-on journal-making session, creating a personal tool they can continue using for reflection, expression, and self-care after the workshop.
